So life after post-grad is obviously about 700 different changes, no matter what path you are on. It's the time to rebuild your new life and make the most of what you've been working for, for basically your whole life and all your years of schooling. It's all for this. Building your real-world life, which does require a lot of decisions without a lot of direction.
You make a big decision, choose a job and choose a place to live. I chose my job at a rotational management program and decided to stay in San Diego even after college. Even though I felt comfortable and 'sure' about these decisions, that doesn't mean that questions and curiosity about the other million paths I could have taken don't pop into my head. Even talking with my other friends who chose to live in other cities think about what it would have been if they did something else, or how long they should be thereĀ or was it the right choice.
It's easy to get caught up in thinking about changing things at the drop of a dime when everything is new and you are building a life for yourself. But I've found in these last 7 months that even when it seems like things could be better or different if I did change somethingā¦ I should trust the decisions I did make and give that experience some time before I move onto something new. It definitely is easily forgotten that we have the rest of our lives to live in a new city or try a new job or a new apartment. The more you can stick with and grow from the experience with the decisions you've made, the more ready and successful you will be when you do decide to make those changes.
