Everyone is talking about this 'work-life balance' concept. I thought it was just making sure you're not working 12 hour days every day and take some time to rest for yourself and you'll be fine. Work-life balance, check. But…. Maybe there is something to be said about making the most of your 'life' outside of work that can really help balance it out.
In college, I always wanted to work out but it was never my priority with my revolving and never-ending to-do list. Now, when work is left at work, I decided to make working out a priority to help with my physical help as well as my mental health.
As boujee as it is, I decided to get a spin membership. Sometimes it is important to invest in your well-being. Actually, most of the time that investment is worth it. Spin for me is something that challenges me in my workouts way more than just me going to the gym will. It also gives me the endorphins that refresh my mind after the day at work. Find something that will do that for you. The investment will make you feel productive and give you the daily confidence for that well-rounded 'work-life balance'.
